About Me

Hi, my name is Grace Dowling and I am an aspiring Producer based in Newport (South Wales) and Gloucestershire.

 

I have been studying film and various forms of media for the past 5 years. During this time I have gained knowledge and skills regarding the making of film and media productions and have created of various forms of media productions. These include short films, music videos, documentaries, and commercials. Throughout these years, I found a passion for 

 telling the stories that aren't always told and working on unique projects.

After studying GCSE and A Level Creative Media Production I wanted to further develop my understanding of filmmaking.  I applied to the University of Gloucestershire where I am now about to graduate from the BA Film Production degree. Here I have spent the past 3 years studying various filmmaking techniques and practices and gaining hands-on experience. Very early on in my studies, I discovered a keen interest in Producing and decided to specialise in furthering my skills, knowledge and experience in this area. During my time at the University of Gloucestershire, I have produced numerous short films, music videos and commercials. Whilst producing these projects I learnt how to handle actors, schedules, budgets, locations, equipment and more.  I am always keen to put these skills and knowledge into practice.

 

My graduate film, Womanhood 101, is currently in post-production with plans of being submitted to film festivals.

I am currently looking to get into the Production department and becoming a Producer as my end goal.
